All the district* save South Canterbury were represented, the delegates being as follow -Nelson—Bro. G. IT. Allan, D.C.E. Canterbury United—Hro. G. Sheat, D.C.1!., and Bro. Marks. Otago United District—Bro. Brough, D.C.1!., and Bro. Maclie, D.S. Wellington Districf-Bro. W. H. Smith, D.C.1!., and Urn. ITarlen, D.S.C.K. Auckland District—Bros. J. Shaldrick and .1. Stitsbury, l'.D.C.B.'s. Jlnwke's Bay District—Bro. J. .J!edslow, D.S. Taranalii District—Bro. I'awcett, D.C.R., and Bro. C. 'Pnnbridge, D.S. Bro. Shaldrick moved:—"That, in the opinion of this meeting nf delegates assembled, a Subsidiary lligli Court be now formed." Considerable discussion took place, lasting over (he morning and ail the iifterncon sitting. Several of Iho delegates explained that, though personally favourable to the motion, their hands were tied, and tliey would have to report to their districts for filial decision. A committee of seven delegates was sot up to gc> into the tinancial aspect of the question, and on their report being presented, it was adopted by the whole of the delegates. The motion was then carried, the tacit consent of the High Court of the Order in England having been already given for the formation of a Subsidiary High Court in New Zealand. When the conference resumed this morning. Bro. .Shaldrick moved:—"That the Wellington Kxecutive for the time being —retaining the services of Bro. Smith, C.1?., and being associated with Bro. Redslow (Hawke's Bay), Allan (Nelson), and the mover (Auckland)—be appointed a committee to carry out all ncccssary preliminaries in connection with the formation and establishment of a Subsidiary High Court; and to that end tlicy draft, rules and submit same to the various district? in the Dominion as early as possible, and that such district", be requested to supply copies of existing rules to (lie committee." The molion was seconded by Bro. Brough (Otago). and carried unanimously. It was dceidpd that the conference | should meet bicuniallv, and that the honour of the first High Court meeting and .TTirrh Court officers should be given to Wellington. The visiting delegates were entertained at dinner at (he BuHington, and afterwards taken to- (he Opera House by' (lie Wellington delegates.
