THE OTAGO ASSOCIATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, April 18. At a meeting of the Otago Cricket Association to-night a motion was carried to the effect that the conditions governing tho Plunket Shield should also apply to the Hawko Cup contest. The opinion was expressed that something should be done to arrange a system of regular matches between first-class provinras, and it was decided to write to the various sociations asking if they would send two delegate? to a conference in H ellmgton at a time to be arranged.. f \ motion was also carried to the eftect that while the association, favoured sending a team' to-'Australia, .if e.oitsideml\lt advisablo to wait another year, and in the "meantime recommended tho council to invite a team from Australia to visit New Zealand' next season.
