The "Morning Post" states that Britain's new army rifle will/ be 2Jin. longer than the present weapon, and will have a calibre of .278, a larger chamber, and a stronger breech mechanism, so as to permit of a higher explosion, enabling tho woapon to secure a muzzle velocity of tfOOOft. '
