The Queensland elections aro being vigorously fought 011 tho clear-cut issue of Socialism.
The conduct of the Mo strike is being used by both sides.
Tho Liberals' mottj is "Peace in tUo «treet; plenty in tho homo"j imil tho Socialists' "Remember Baton Tricky." Mr. Fisher, tho Federal Premier, has tcon speech-making in connection with tho olectious. In supporting a Labour candidate, Mr. Fisher declared that the State Premier. Mr. Denham, and the State Government had applied for the military during the lato strike because they were suffering from undue excitement. There must bo a clear indication of tho necessity beforo ho would use armed forces. The strikers had been slandered by tho Government and all the religious organs of the country.
