TRANSPORT WORKERS DENY STRIKE RUMOUR. El Telocraoli—Frees Association—CoDirletol London, April 11. Miners at Leigh, Lancashire, entertained tho soldiers sent to maintain order. The soldiers to-day marched to church headed by the Leigh Naval and Army Veterans' Band. Two hundred engine-men at Bargned, Glamorganshire, 'Wales, have resumed work. The engine-men in the Cwyman colliery at Aberdare, "Wales, are resuming to-morrow. The District Committee of the Transport Workers' Federation and the executive of the Dockers' Union passed a resolution denouncing irresponsible statements regarding the possibility of a general strike of transport workers early in the summer, and adding that it was not intended to discuss tho question. The best coal is selling in London at 3s. per sack. DERBYSHIRE SURFACEffEN RESUME. (Eec. April 15, 10.S p.m.) London, April 15. Tho surfacemen at the Derbyshire mines havo agreed to resume work. A resolution was carried, asking (he Government to establish, a minimum wage. DUNDEE JUTE STRIKE ENDS; (Rec April 15, 10.5 p.m.) London, April 15. The Dundee jute strike lias ended. The workers have obtained an advance of per cent, in their wages.
