WANGANUI COLLEGE SPORTS.
The annual athletic eports of Wanganui College wore hold ou the cricket ground on Monday. There was a large attendance. Two new records wero established, Kinder lowering the 100 yards rocord by one-fifth of a second, doing v the distance in the remarkably fino time of 10 2-sscc.; R. M'Niven ran the 1000 yards in 2min. 42 2-ssec, the previous best timo beinp 2inin. 42 3-ssec. In tho morning the old boys and present bovs measured blades on tho river, the old boys winning after a hard race. The old boys were also succesful in winning the tug-of-war, after two exciting pulls. The following are the results :— High Jump (under lfi).—Cowper, 1; Wilde, 2. 100 Yards (under 14).—Birch, 1; G.
