BAPTIST EASTER CAMP.

The prettily situated natural park of Hamilton on the shores of the lake is tho camping ground for nearly 100 young men, members of the Bible classes of the Baptist denomination (says the Auckland "Star" of April 8). The visitors como from Auckland, Waikato, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Hawke's Bay, Wellington and suburbs, and other centres. Mild and enjoyable w.eathor prevails, and a most happy time of comradeship is being passed. The days are spent in boating, swimming, athletic sports, and outings of various kinds, while in the evenings meetings are held to promote the interests of Bible-class work. Good concerts and entertainments aro provided in the little' marquee, which also serves as a dining tent. An hour of impromptu speeches caused much diversion among camp members and lady visitors. The Christie athletic shield was won by the Ponsonby class with a total of 23 points. Tabernacle with 14 points being second. The "Spurgeon Cup presented by Mr. R. A. Price for oratory will be held for tho I coming twelvo months by tho Hastings i class, whose representative, Mr. R. E. Barloy, gave a forceful address upon the words, "I write unto you. young men, because ye are strong." At tho annual meeting held in tho main tent on Good Friday.- Mr. George C'arrad, of Wanganui, was mado president for the coming year. Telegrams of greeting were exchanged with similar camps being held in Wanganui, Christchurch, and Dmieclin. by young men of tho Methodist, Presbyterian, ami Baptist Churches. Easter Sunday arrangements included an early morning devotional meeting, service in Hamilton Baptist Church in tho forezioon, at which tho Rev. J. Di Mill preached; camp meeting in tho afternoon, with gospel hymns and testimonies, evangelistic njeeting in Town Hall at night conducted by Pastor W. M. Robertsou, late of Glasgow. A big open-air mooting was held in the main etrect on Saturday night. The excellent arrangements of the camp were mode by Mr. H. M. Smceton. (president), Mr. Arthur Mead (secretary), and an executive committee assisted by tho Hamilton men.
