MYSTERIOUS MURDER.
SEQUEL TO FAMILY REUNION. By Telegraph—Press Aeeociation—Copyright (E<o. April 9, 9.35 p.m.) Melbourne, April 9. A' mysterious murder hns taken place in the city. Two brothers, William nnd Frederick Parker, were proceeding home after a family reunion, nnd stopped on the way at a hotel. They afterwards fought outside, nnd William knocked Frederick down and severely kicked him. William then ran away, and Frederick , arose and went off in an opposite direction. Soon afterwards William staggered back to the hotel with a gaping wound in his throat. 110 was taken to tho hospital, where, in reply to questions by the police, ho refused to say who had cut his throat. Hβ only said that if they arrested his brother they would be taking tho wrong man. Hβ died two houre later. The police found that Frederick had disappeared, but this afternoon he Burrendered himself. His clothes were bloodstained. He said he was drunk last night. Hβ remembered fighting, but forgot -what followed. He is charged with murder.
