SUNDAY IN CAMP.
THE WORK OF THE CHAPLAINS. At last night's meeting of the Wellinj* ton Presbytery appreciative reference waa mado by several of tho chaplains to the conduct of the Territorial enmps. The Rev. W. Shiror, Chaplain-Major, reported that in the discharge of his duties he had conducted service in tho Trcntham camp on Sunday. It was a pleasure to notice that under tho new regulations the various churches had opportunity, to provide for the spiritual needs of their peo. pic, and this had been done. He considered tho conduct of the men both at church parade and during th« day worthy of praise, and every co-oporatimt was given by officers to the chaplains in tho discharge of their duty. Tho temperance party should bo well satisfied with the success of the efforts made by the authorities to keep drink out of the camps. Tho Rev. J. M'Caw, of Lower Hut t, who also visited the camp, spoke in appreciation of tho ready assistant given to chaplains by tho camp officer".
