Sir,—lt is astounding at times how much misinformation is allowed unchallenged entry into public print. Many times where the error is very obvious one hesitates to prompt a correction. In the matter of Australian silver the banks have for a long while been accepting it. Then how comes it there should be such constant, misleading of the public in tho matter?—l am, etc., HENRY BODLEY.
