DRAUGHTS CHAMPIONSHIP.

. TOURNAMENT IN PROGRESS. The annual New Zealand draughts championship tournament, which is at present being held at the Working Men's Club, was continued on Saturday. The tournament was opened on Wednesday last by Mr. Mace, president of. the club and president of- the /'.New .Zealand Draughts Executive. There are sixteen competitors from all,parts..of the Dominion. ' On Friday night tho two recognised champions (Messrs. llilliker and Boreham) met, and after seven hours' solid play the former had won bo'.h games.
