(By Telegraph-Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, April C. Mr. J. I?. Sutherland, tho Harbour Board's foreman of works, speaking at a. "social" tendered to him prior to his projected trip to Kngland, said that the last sounded depth of 21ft. 9in. on the bar was confined to a couple of small patches. Except for these, the depth over tho full width of tho channel ovw the bar .was 25 to 2G feet. The wharfage fees received by the Harbour Board for tho financial year just rloied exceed those of the previous year by ,£SSO. , , ~ There has been perfect weather for the holidays so far, and all attractions have been well patronised.
