PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. Following upon other recent changes in. tho Public Works Department, Jlr. .1. E. W. Jl'Kiniis has been transferred from Wliangarei to Dunedin in the capacity of district engineer. The present district engineer at Dunedin (Jlr. F. W. Furkort) is to be inspecting engineer for the Dominion, with his headquarters at Wellington.
