A Palmerston Wedding. At the residence of the bride's parents, Hokowhitu (writes our Palmerston North correspondent), the m'nrrioge took place of 'Miss Jean Gcinmell, oldest daughter of Mr.; and Mrs. John Gcmmcll, nnd Mr. Thomas Craig, younger son of Mr. Wil■liahi; Craig, of Wanganui. The Hev. L, Neat officiated. Tho bride, who was given 'away by her father, wore a gown of white satin, with tunic opening at one side, and edged all round with a deep gold fringe. The bodice was draped with ninon and old point lace, with touches of sold and finished with a sash at the side, i'lio court train, fastened to the shoulders, was draped with point lace and finished with silk cord, and a bridal veil that had belonged to hor mother was worn by the bride, with iier wreath of orange blossoms. The gift of the bridegroom— a gold watch wrist-bracelet—was also worn, and she carried a shower-bouquet of'white roses and inniden-hair fern. There were two bridesmaids in attendance, Miss Lilian Clemmell (sister of the bride) and Miss V, Craig (sister of the bridegroom), who wore pale blue satin dresses, with black satin underskirts showing slightly round'the foot, and bodies trimmed with lace and gold braid. They also wore large black velvet hats, with bows of blue tulle, and their gifts from tho bridegroom—peirl and rubv brooches. Their bouquets were cf pink roses and maiden-hair fern, and were also presented to them by the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Peter Murray, of Wanganui, as best man, and. Mr. Frwl. Genimell, brother of the bride, as groomsman.. 'The bride's mother wore black satin; with a black ninon overdress and Oriental 'trimming, and a black liat with ostrich feathers. The bridegroom's mother wore green taffetas, with a large black hat and a -white ostrich feather boa. The bride's travelling dress was of navv blue, handsomely trimmed with broad 'black braid, and with it was worn a large beaver hat with black and emerald, green tips. .-

The littlo girls were in pretty frocks of pink flowered muslin, and black satin hats lined with pink chiffon and trimmed with tiny rosebuds. They carried tight littlo nosegays of pink flowers', and wore pearl brooches, gifts from the bridegroom. . . ■ .After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Williams, who woro n gown of soft black charmcuso with a long square train, aiid a black toque. The bride and bridegroom received tho congratulations' of their friends, and their health was proposed by Sir William "Russell. The Persistence of Him I ;' A Press Association telegram from Auckland states that at the annual meeting of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association the chairman asked the two men present—the press reporter and Mr. 1,.
