MYSTERIOUS MR. JANSEN.
If there is a budding Sherlock Holmes within the precincts of Wellington, sighing for a chanco to display his genius, he has now an opportunity to talco advantage of the tide that leads to fortune and fame. The.magician Jansen, now appearing at tho Opera House, will descend upon the multitude at the General Post Office between 5 and 5.30 o'clock next Monday afternoon. He may appear as Hamlet, Polonius, the Man in tho Iron Mask, Mephistopheles, Tam-o'-Shanter, or as a modern man of the street. The person having in his or her possession a copy of Monday's Dominion, or either of its contemporaries, who taps the transformist on his shoulder and says, "You are the mysterious Mr. .Tansen," will receive tho sum of five pounds sterling from Messrs. l'ortus and Talbot, Ltd., under whose direction the magician is ■ touring tho Dominion. Tho "mysterious Vr. Jansen" will come in such a sliapo that ho may elude all but the Argus-eyed, who see beneath tho illusion and tho show to tho real man. Amateur detectives should go to tho Opera Houso and stndy tho features of Jansen, and turn up at the Post Office at !S p.m. next I Monday.
