ANGLICAN MISSION SERVICES.

SPECIAL MIDDAY 'ADDRESSES IN THE CITY. At tlio end of the General Mission of 1910, under' Canon Stuart, a small committee was set up by Bishop Wallis with the object of carrying on from time to time mission work in the city and dioceso of Wellington. Dr. Sprott, the present Bishop, .ha.s continued this committee in office. As the outcome of its deliberations it has been decided to hold midday services on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and .Thursday of next week (Holy Week) for men niui for .women. Two services will lo held for men and two for women on each if these days. The first of tho services for men will bo held during the earlier luncheon hour (12 to 1 p.m.) in the open'air, outside the post office. Tho services will be short, beginning each day • at 12.20 p.m. and lasting till about 12.-15 p.m. Tho speakers for tho four days are to be the Kevs. C. F. Askew, W. Itai.ne, H. U. Blackburne, and G. B. Stephenson. Members of the Church of England Men's Society will assist 'iir the service, and lead tlio singing. The'second service each day will be in tho Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, from 1.20 p.m. to 1.15 p.m. The speakers will be the Yen. Archdeacon Harper (Monday;, the Rev. W. l'anconrt (Tuesday), and the Bishop (Wednesday and Thursdiy). Sorvices will also l,e held for women at the same hours at the Missions. to Seamen Institute (kindly lent by tho trustees and committee). At tho second series (i.e., from 1.20 to 1.43) addresses will be given on tho four days by the Kevs. A. L. Hansell, C. F. Askew, if. I. Sola, c.ini Archdeacon-Harper respectively..' The midday services during the General Mission were very well attended, and last'year, when they were held iii St. I'aul's and St. Peter's Churches they were found of great help. The committee hope, by moving to more central positions, to enable more people to take advantage of a quiet time of devotion during Holy Week.
