ARBITRATION COURT.
« :— — (By Telegraph—Prees Association.) Christchurch, March 2fi. The award of tho Arbitration Court in the dispute between the Drivers' Union and the Christchurch City Council provides that a woek's work will be 1!) hours in the case of a driver driving and attending to one horse, and 51 hours when driving and attending to two horses. Wages: One horse driver, not less than ■ills, per week; two horse.-, 51s. per week; overtime not. less than Is. (id. per hour, except in attending on horses, whenUhe rato shall be Is. ljil.; work done between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.. 2s. per hour, with a minimum of Is. Preference of employment to bo given members oT tho union. In the rarricrs' dispute tho hours were fixed at 48 per week; wages Is. Sri. per hour. Employers may nTrnnge with a worker to do work as piecework when n log has been agreed upon by tho union. > Qualified prgfcien.ee is given to mupusts.
