DIFFERENCES ON NEW SOUTH WALES BILL. By Telegraph-PrcES Association-Copyright Sydney, March 20. A conference has been held between delegates from the legislative Assembly and tho Council to discuss the differences between the two Houses regarding the Arbitration Bill and the clause in relation to preference to unionists. The Council eventually agreed to the inclusion of preference, provided that where a declaration of prefereuco is made in favour of a union, such prefereuco shall bo cancelled by the Arbitration Court in the event of a substantial number of members striking or aiding a strike. If a lesser number strike, tho Court may suspend tho declaration for any period. * A new clause was added, enabling the Minister to constitute a Conciliation Cominitteo for any occupation, other than mining, employing more than 500 persons.. The Assembly then agreed to the Council's other amendments, taking away the right to strike.
