DEFENCE AND THE CENSUS.
NO SEARCH OF CARDS ALLOWED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrleht Melbourne, March 25. The Federal Defence Department states that there are 20,000 boys who have not registered under the Defence Act. The Minister for Homo Affairs (Mr. Kins O'Malley), declines to allow a search to be niadft of the census cards, on the grounds that tho information was obtained under a pledge of secrecy.
