ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
ATTEMPTED S tJICIDE. (By -Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Palmcrston North, March 12. Tlafher a determined case of attempted fiuicido occurred «t Foxton yesterday. A man named J. W. Williams/who had had some domestic trouble, rodo out., to the cemetery and mode cuts in his throat with a knife, and also in his leg. He was discovered later in tho day, and medical assistance was at once obtained, an examination revealing tho fact that his injuries were not serious, although ;the gash on his leg was a rather nasty-tine. Ho is now lyinc; at one of the hotels, and is making satisfactory progress.
