NEW OFFICERS. At the annual meeting of tho Wellington Trades and Labour Council last night, the following oHicers were elected for tho onsuing year: —President, Mr. M. J. Kear(lon; vico-prosident, Mr. I\ L. , Muir; secretary (re-elected), Mr. F. Kin-ling; treasurer, Mr. ]:'. I). Cormvell; trinlei'S, Messrs. W. Waterworth and M. J. Reardon; auditor, Mr. M. Ford; Management Committee, Messrs. W. C. Noot, W. Xaughtou, D. ponovan, W. Cooper, and .T. Ijiiinn; minute secretary, Mr. 11. Thompson; librarian. Mr. 1 , . L. Muir.
Messrs. Heardon, Nanjjhton, Muir, and D. M'Laren wore appointed delegates to tho iinnual conference, which is to be opened in Wellington on April 0. Tho balance-sheet of the . Labour Day picnic was adopted. It showed a balance of .£IOB ISs. 7d.
