FEATHERSTON.

The death occurred early on Thursday morning at Featherstoai of Mrs. Eliza Jane Yelvertou, at tho age of 71 years. Tho deceased was born at Longworth, in Berkshire, England, and arrived in Now Zealand when a young woman, being married in Wellington to tho late Mr % Augustus Yelverton. Sho is survived "by a grown-up family of three sons and two daughters. A sale of work in aid of the. funds of thfi Methodist Church was held in the Town Hall hero on Thursday. Mr> W. C. Buchanan, M.P., performed tho opening ceremony. Tho financial results will, it is reported, be very satisfactory.
