CLOSING OF SYDNEY ST.
CITY ENGINEER "ATTENDING TO TIIK MATTEK." The decision of the Government to close Sydney Street in connection with the building of. the new Parliament House was mentioned at the meeting of the City Council last evening, when Councillur Fletcher asked if arrangements had been made whereby residents could gain access to their properly during the closing of the street.
Tlie Deputy Mayor informed him that tin , city engineer was attending to the mailer.
