The Kail ami Counters of Morion, accompnuiod by three oi their sens, arrived in Auckland on Friday by the Moldavia, and are Maying at the* Grand Hotel. Tho parly has come to New Zealand for (ho fishing and doer .stalking, and they left Auckland on Saturday for Rotorua and LnkcTaunu, nncl will afterwards tour the Wahnrapu district.
Miss Crystal, who has been head of the mantle showroom in To Aro House for many year?, leaves on a trip to England on Thursday, and has severed her connection with the Cuba Street firm.
Miss J. T. Rittcnberg left for Sydney by the s.s. Moana on Friday.
Dr. Ethel Ambrose, of the medical staff of the Poona Mission, India, is at present vifiting friends in Auckland. She is associated with a party of European missionaries, who, augmented by Bible women from Pandita, Ramabai's Home, carry on medical and gosnel work in the Pilgrim City of Pandhuntiir.
The marriago of Miss Isabel Boock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Boock', and Mr. J. H. Hermann takes place at tha Synagogue on Wednesday, March 20.

Tho Rev. J. Kennedy Elliott, accompanied by Dr. and Mrs. Elliott, leaves on a visit to England by the Waimana on March 27.
Miss Mary Scott, who lias lately been transferred from the Maranui School start to the Ncwtown School staff, was recently the guest of (he evening a party which was given at Mr. J. W. Easson's house at South Kilbirnie, (ho pupils of her last year's class at. tho Maranui School being also present.
Mrs. W. Smart, of Dunedin, and the Miwes Smart (2) arrived in Wellington by the Monnwai on Sunday, and are the guests of Mrs. M. Vicar, Brougham Street, till Thursday, when they leave for England by tho lonic.
A quiet wedding was celebrated at tho Catholic Church, On.iki, on Saturday, when Miss Mary Limn,'daughter of Mr. A. Lima, was married to Mr. J. Smith, of Otaki. The. Rev, Father Cagnct conducted tho service.
The fortnightly meeting of the "Our Girls' Branch" of the Victoria League was held at tho Pioneer Club last evening, when a very interesting and informal little "talk" was given by Miss Myers, dealing with things of the'earth—but not earthy. There was a good attendance of members and Mrs. Corliss presided. At the next meeting a paper upon Tennyson will be read by one of the members.
