Annual Tea of the Wellington College Old Girls' Association. The animal tea of the Wellington College Old Girls' Association, was hold in the college on Saturday afternoon, and was veil'uitended by "old girls." Business was combined with pleasure, tho annual report of the association being road, and a now committee for tho ensuing year elected. Thn resignation of Miss A. Holm from the secretaryship was accepted with much regret, Miss Holm having been untiring in her efforts to plnca tho association on a sound looting. Miss Mary Flux was appointed in her place. The following were elected members of the committee-.-Mrs. Bradley, Mrs. Cox, the Misses Jacobren, Hiicslon. Ediiioiklnuii, Webb, ("inmlin, Dixon, Lynn, Ballinger, M'Eldowney, Belly, Dryilcn, and Shearer. Songs ami recitations were contributed bv .Mrs. U rail ley, Miss Newman. Miss Ward, and Miss Flora Mμdonald. Tea wa= handed round by the members of the Hospital Committee, the tables being decorated with sweet pons and coreopsis. Jliss M'Lenn, tho Prm-1 cipal of the college, was present, us were I Miss Newman, Miss Ward, Miss Collins, and Miss Lynch, all members of the teaching start. Miss Ecclesficld was also present. Miss Waldograve (I'almerston North) is visiting Wellington and is tho guest of Miss Violet Warburton. Mrs. F. Fitchett left on Friday ovening on a visit to Dnnedin, where she will bo tho guest of Dr. nnd Mrs. Fitchett. Miss Claude Douglas, of Hawora, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Wickliffe, of Wellington South. Mrs. W. Bidwill (Wnirarapa) has been spending somo days in town. Mrs. Eichelbaum. Mrs. Baumo (Auckland) is the guest of Tho engagement is announced oi Miss Alma Morgan, eldest daughter of Mrs. Morgan, of Villa Street, Mastertoii, to Mr. I'ercy K. Welch, only son of Mr. ami Mrs. W. J. Welch, of Mastertou. Mrs. Rathbono (llutt) is away on a visit to llawkc's BayMrs. Jl'Bao Peacock (Patoka) arrived in Wellington ou Friday on her way to Christchurch. Mrs. Arthur Elworthy (Christchurch) is leaving this week by the lonic for England. ' Mr. and Mrs. Cialwry and their childron left Nopier on Friday for Auckland. Mr. II". M. Campbell, 'M.1 , ., and Mrs. Campbell intend motoring through to 'i'aupo this week, spending some days in tho Hot Lakes district.
