He reports that on Sunday tho vessel struck on a reef during thick weather. A gale was blowing, and tho sea was so rough there was. difficulty in launching a. boat. Two were smashed, but ovent.ually the crew of sixteen got ashore in tho third boat. The next day they roturned to the vessel, but their efforts to refloat her were unsuccessful. Tbey then came' ashore, leaving tho mate in charge. During the voyage a sailor was lost overboard.
