GAZETTE ANNOUNCEMENTS,
This week's Gazette contains the following announcements referring to the New Zealand military forces:— Royal New Zealand Artillery. The undermentioned officers, on completion of their period of probation, havo been confirmed in their appointments:— 2nd Lieutenant Henry Arthur Dnvies; 2nd Lieutenant Groves Edward Daniell. 2nd (Wellington, West Coast) Mounted 'Rifles. Lieutenant John Adam Sommerville is transferred to the Cth (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles. Lieutenant Alexander Bowie Farmer, from the 9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles, to be Lieutenant. 2nd Lieutenant Francis Arthur Nelson, from the Oth (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rides, to be 2nd Lieutenant. 6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles. Lieutenant John , Adam Sommerville, from the 2nd (Wellington West Coast) Mounted Rifles, to bo Lieutenant. 9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles. The undermentioned officers are transferred to tho 2nd (Wellington West .Coast) Mounted Rifles:—Lieutenant Alexander Bowie Farmer; 2nd Lieutenant Francis Arthur Nelson. Corporal Corran Masters Perry to be 2nd Lieutenant, supernumerary to the establishment. New Zealand Vield Artillery. Captain Alfred Augustus Grace to be Major. Tho ' undermentioned second lieutenants to bo lieutenants:—Erima Harry Northcroft. Robert Cameron Galbraith; Grovillo Lancelot Ewen, Walter Leigh Titchener. sth Regiment (Wellington Rifles). Lieutenant Stephen Glanville Cowlcs resigns. his commission. Lieutenant John Lawrence Short is. transferred to tho lGtli (Waikato) Regiment. The undermentioned second lieutenants to ba lieutenants:—Charles Kimbell Gasquoine, vice Cowlcs resigned; James Ferdinand Groom Roberts, vice Short, transferred, lieutenant Frederick Groom Rooerts to bo quarter-master. The undermentioned to be second lieu-tenants:—Colour-Sergeant Leo Sigismund Cimino, Leonard Maughan Liardet, Colour-Sergeant Eusticc Dupins Ilenchman Stacker, Sergeant Herman Frederick Augustus Wollerman. 7th Regiment (Wellington West Coast Rifles). Lieutenant Charles Leonard Harris is transferred to the Unattached List, for service with the Sen-lor Cadets. Oth Regiment (Wellington East Coast Rifles). Sir William Russell Russell to be Honorary Colonel. Senior Cadets. Tho undermentioned officers resign their commissions:—Captain Isaac Edward Newton, Lieutenant Robert Horatio Waddington Hanson. The undermentioned Territorial officers are transferred for service with the Senior Cadets, under the provisions 'of paragraph 88 (b), General Regulations, 1911:Lieutenant Charles Leonard Harris, 7th Regiment (Wellington West Coast Rifles), to be captain. The undermentioned are appointed for servdee with the Senior Cadets, under the provisions of paragraph 88 (b), General Regulations, 1911:— Second lieutenants—John • William Andrews, James Dobson Campbell, Charles Dalby Carter, Philip Brunskill (coke, John' Macgregor Craig, William Thomas Garth, Walter Honry Olsen, Arthur Augustus Potter, Francis William Koydhouse, Kossuth Skoglund, Joseph HoMsworth Smith, Nesbit Colin Sneddon, Trevor Ernest Tovcy, Henry Thomas William Vear. Alfred James Veart, Ernest Spencer Willott.
