PRESBYTERY OF WELLINGTON.

The monthly meeting of tho Wellington Presbytery took place yesterday morning at St. John's Church, the Rev. W. Douglas, M.A., presiding. Commissions were received for representative elders from St. John's (Mr. Mitchell) and St. Andrew's (Mr. Gaudin). -Tho Rev. li. Inglis, M.A., was appointed visiting chaplain to tho Porirua Mental Hospital. \ Gratification was expressed at the satisfactory nnturo of the reply mado by General Godley to the representations of the Methodist "Conference regarding military operations and other work in connection with the camps on Sundays. It was reported that an agent had been appointed to tho Island Bay district, and would commence work there shortly, find that services are being established immediately at Karori. A committee, consisting of the Revs. Dr. Gibb, Hutson, Inglis, Comrio, 'Gibson Smith, Standage, Professor Pickcn, and Messrs. Butler, Williamson, and Duff, was appointed to further tho work of Sunday Schools and Bible Classes within the Presbytery. It was decided that in future the Presbytery meet at 7 p.m., instead of in the morning.
