SPORTS PROTECTION.
Tlio work of organisation in connection with the -New Zealand Sports Protection League is proceeding. During tho pawl few months branches of (he league have been formed in Wellington, Hustings, (lisbornc, Piilmerston North, l''oildiug, Hawera, Wanganui, Christchurch, Wnimate, Tcniuka, Ashbtirton, 't'imaru, Geraldine, Amberley, Little.ltivcr, Dunediu, and Invercnrgill. Mr. Pnape left by the Mapourika yesterday afternoon, and will endeavour to address meetings in the Nelson and Westlniul provinces durins the next two weeks, commencing at Nelson this evening.
