LABOUR PROBLEM.
POSITION OP SOME FARMEHS. If dairy people have, been complaining about the difficult}* of procuring labour, says the llanawatu correspondent of the "Farmers' Union Advocate," agricultural farmers are worse off still. "I hear a great many say," (he correspondent adds, "that they are , going to turn to other systems of working their farms. Grass seed, although it has been paying very well, is now rather overdone, and the season lias been much against the farmer. I noticed a great deal of grass seed still in stook. It will be discoloured, lam afraid. The crested dog.stail seed which has been such a stand-by in Rimdon, is not likely to bo grown to such an extent next year. Those who sold beforehand have done well, but thoso who have it on their hands will meet a falling market. It is oheaper at Home, and, of course, that rules (lie price hen. , . Hyp-grass always keeps a good level, altliough not so paying as dogstail, and will probably be grown next year ns usual. Slill, labour and bad soosons are enough to make anyone change their mode of working."
