At the Old Bailey the trial was continued of Frederick Seddon (district superintendent of the London and Manchester Assurance Company) and his wife on a charge of poisoning Mrs. Eliza Barro\i (whoso property the male accused controlled) by giving her arsenic. In opening the case for the defence, Mr. Marshall Hall, K.C., stated that the prosecution had failed to provo tho possession and administration of arsenic by the Seddons. A daughter of accused would give evidence that Mrs. Bavrov. had sent her for fly-papers for domow'c purposes. Mrs. Barrow was weak-miuc'crl, and possibly drank the water off immersed fly-papers.
