MURDER AND SACRILEGE.
MONKS SENT TO GAOL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright St. Petersburg, March' 8. The trial has concluded at Petroff of three ex-monks of the St. Pauline Convent at Czenstochowa, who were charged with committing murder and sacrilege in September, 1909. The expriest, Damazy Macoch, was sentenced to twelve years' penal.servitude, in connection with the robbery of the church at Czenstochowa, and Helene Macoch, the victim's widow, to two years' imprisonment, Izydor Stacezewski to five years, and other accomplices to terms ranging from two months' to two years' imprisonment.
