MRS. W. W JACOBS IN COURT.
NOVELIST AND HIS WIFE DIFFER, London, March 7. Mrs. Jacobs, wife of Mr. W. W. Jacobs, the popular novelist, author of "Tho Skipper's Wooing," am! other 6ca stories, was sentenced to a month's imprisonment with hard labour for window smashing in connection with the suffragette movement. Mr. Jacobs, who was in Court, declared that ho was bitterly opposed to the suffragettes. Five more suffragettes have been nrrested for smashing windows, including those at Jn'y's and Gorringe's establishments.
