EARLY CLOSING OF HOTELS.

The State Attornoy-General, Mr. Holman, has promised careful Cabinet consideration of the request of a deputation representing Church and temperance bodies,' in favour of the earlier closing of hotels, tho contention being that most of tho night crime is the result of tho latoness of the hour to which the hotels are open. The New South Wales Liquor Act of 1905 forbids tho sale of alcoholic liquor between tl p.m. and C a.m.
