The Government intends to introduce an amendment to the Early Closing Act next week, providing for the closing of shops at nine o'clock iiistead of ten on Friday nights. Chemists' shops are to be placed on the schedule with other shops. Country districts will be given an opportunity of voting in favour of a Wednesday instead of a Saturday half-holiday. ======
