AS DARK AS EVER. (Bj Telecraßh.-SDsdal CorrceDoniloiiU Wanoanui, March G. The dispute over the Borough Engineer entered on another phase last evening, when a special meeting of the Borough Council re-:olved: "That a committee be .set up to formulate charges against the engineer, and that, the latter bo given an opportunity to reply." The molion'was curried by four to one, two councillors being absent, and the Mnyor anil one councillor refusing to vole. Both the latter refused to serve on (he committee, but, eventually, three were appointed to draw up the charges. J(: w:n also moved: "That tho ex-Mayor (Mr. Mae.kay) be asked to formulate the reasons that led to the difference between himself and tho engineer." The Mayor, however, refused to put the motion.
