BANK ROBBERY.
POLICE SHOOT A'THIEF DEAD. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Montreal, March i. A gang of robbers tried to loot (lie branch of the Royal Bank at Montreal West. The polico discovered them, and revolver tiro was exchanged. Later, one robber fell dead on the floor near a dynamited safe, and the others ran. A brisk pursuit followed, but tho men escaped. In tho clothes of the dead bandit was found a girl's photograph and a wedding ring, indicating that the robber . was about to marry.
