•LICENSING NOMINATIONS. (By Telezrapli—Pres< Association.', Auckland, March 4. The "Herald's" Paeroa correspondent states that tho nominations for theOhinemuri Licensing Committee were to closo at noon last Saturday. Shortly before 12 o'clock five persons attended for the purpose of receiving and filling in the necessary nomination papers. Nomination forms not being, available those interested commenced writing them in the form prescribed by tho Act. The papers wero not completed at noon, and the returning officer then declared that it was past the time for receiving nominations, and declined to take them. He, however, took the names of tho fivo candidates desirous of being nominated, and it is probable they will be appointed tho committee by tho Governor-in-Couucil.
