March 3, 5.5 p.m.) Now York, March 2, At St. Louis, Captain Berry leaped from an aeroplane, and reached tho ground safely by means of ft parachute. A passenger controlled the aeroplane while Captain Berry cut loose the parachute. The feat is the first of its kind in tho history of aeronautics. INSTRUCTORS FOR AUSTRALIA. London, March 1. Fifty British aeronauts have applied to the Commonwealth for tho position of aviation instructors.
