ASSOCIATION.
ST. JOHN'S CLUB. There was a good attendance at tho annual meeting of the St. Johns football club which was leld in St. Johns Young Men's class room last evening. Mr. J. S. Butler was in the clair Tlo annual report and balanoe-sneet was read and adopted. The latter showctl a balance in hand of £7 125., and a balanco of assets over liabilities of £18 Ten new members were elected. The following wore elected officers of the club: -Patron: Rev. James Gibb,_ D.D.; president, Mr. E. K. Lomas; vice-presidents, Messrs. .1. S. Butler, J. G. W. Aitkcn; C. S. Moore, S. A. Troup, A. S. Store, A Purdie, G. fi. Smith, A. Howitt; club captain, Mr. G. 11. KHiffe; hon. secretary Mr. Jl. E. Le Cren; lion, treasurer, Mr* T. W. Fawcett; hon. Mr. A. W Whvte; management committee, Messrs. W. Andrew, J. f. Martin, and E. Esting. ' It was decided to commence practice on March 10.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agencv Company will hold a stock sale at Waifcinno, on March 5, at 12 a.m. Messrs. Samuel Vailo and Sons, Auckland, have received instructions to sell (ho Broadlands Estate in three lots. Further particulars on application to auctioneers.
