Tho police havo taken particular precautions against the molestation of tramway employees. A delegate of tho Sydney Wharf Labourers' Union, addressing a meeting, declared that he hail been sent to try to arrango tin amicable settlement. The watersido workers were prepared to open all tho ports in Australia if the employers guaranteed not to victimise strikers.
MR. COYNE SILENT. (Rcc. February 29, .9.35 p.m.)' Brisbane, February 29. Work on the wharves is proceeding steadily with non-unionist labour. Mr. Coyne, chairman of the Strike Committee, announced that he will be unable to make any statoment with regard to the negotiations with the Employers' Federation before to-morrow.
BRISBANE STEAMER WORKED. (Rec. February 29, 9.35 p.m.) Sydney, February 29. The wharf labourers havo decided to work tho steamer Wollowra- oa the strength of an assurance from Queensland that her cargo was handled by unionists.
