A force of 210 chasseurs, police, and artillery is pursuing a band of gipsy desperadoes in the Frankfort-on-Main district. The leader of the band, named Ebener, aged 24, murdered a gendarme, and afterwards committed three murders. Tho victims included his own father, whom ho killed during a quarrel over a horso deal. Tho gang are now breaking into lonely houses, nnd the surrounding villages arc terror-stricken.
