FOOTBALL.
'THE WAIWETT? CLUB. The .annual meeting of the Waiwetu Football Club was held at Lower Hutt last evening. Mr. 11. W. Welch occupied the chair, and there was an excellent attendance of members. The report and balance-sheet showed that gootf progress had been, made (luring the past season. 'Financially it had ended with a credit balance of .£5 os. 6d. Officers were elected as follow:—Patron, Mr. H. Baldwin; president. Mr. J. Inglis; vice-presidents, Messrs. Dwyer, Avisou, Dome, Harris, Kerr, Gwilliam, Allen, Hadfield, Bell; club captain, Mr. .1. Inglis: secretary, Mr. V. TresSider; treasurer, Mr. J. lnglis; management committee, Messrs. J. Gwilliam, W. Gwilliam. S. England, J. Young, L. Allen, Eleven new members were elected. On the motion of the chairman, it was resolved to forward a. motion of condolence • to the widow and family, oi the late Mr. J. Young. It was decided to Imld over the election of a selection committee till next meeting..
