COMING OF THE ENGLISH TEAM. A meeting of . the Management Committee of the New Zealand-La v:n Tennis As-f-ceiation was held in Mr. Petherick's rooms last evening, Mr. F. M. B. Fisher presiding. The matter of the proposed visit to.Australasia of the English team came up for discussion. The pronosed team is as follows Messrs. A. \V. Meyers, C. P. Dixon, A. E. Beamish, arid F. G. Lowe, wliich is probably the best that England can-send. Tho council of the Australian Association resolved to offer' p, guarantee of J34 00 for three or four players to play a programme of matches to be arranged for a period of eight weeks in Australia, or, at the team's option, for a period of twelve-weeks, to allow for a visit to NewZealand. It was further resolved to. allow 50 nor cent, of the profits over aiid above tho amount of the guarantee. At its meeting last evenirig'tho committeo of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, who are endeavouring to arrange a tour of the English team through New Zealaiid, decided to offer a guarantee of .£l5O to the English team, through.' tho Australian • Association- and 50 pet cent, of the net.profits.
