STORM IN SYDNEY.
BUILDINGS STRUCK BY LIGHT-KING. By Telesraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, February 2G. During a storm yesterday afternoon 150 points of rain fell. The downpour was accompanied by a cyclonic ifTnd and severe lightning. Many boats were capsized in tlie harbour. There were no fatalities. Lightning struck St. Matthias's Church at Faildington, and fired tho roof. The brigade extinguished the fire. Tlie tower of St. Francis's Convent was also struck. The damage was slight. The tram-lines were flooded, and traffic had to be suspended for n time, ■ Several cars wero struck by lightning. (Eec. February 2G, 9.0 p.m.) Sydney, February 2G. Over 3J- inches of raiii fell in the city sinco Saturday. The fall has been general throughout the State. (Kec. February 27, 0.55 a.m.) Sydney, February 2G.
