Keefe was seriously injured by the bursting of a ship's signal rocket. Keefe's injuries were attended to there, and he is making a recovery. An inquest was held by Mr. Bagnall, Collector of Customs, and tho jury went down to the wreck to view the scene of tho accident. The verdict was to tho effect that deceased met his death by the discharge of a ship's rocket, but there was no evidence to show how the fatality was ca\u;ed. It is said that Middlcton had been in the British navy, and that he was well aware of the dangerous qualities of ship's rockets.
