The Worser Bay Swimming Club held the second distance (100 yards) of the Brodie Cup last Saturday afternoon at Worser Bay. The results wero as fol-low-.-Steele, 22scc, lj L. Rountree, 20scc, 2- C. T. This meetiii" will give the Wellington public an opportunity of seeing Miss Annie O Leary, of Masterton, winner of the 100 yds. New Zealand championship, in action, as she will contest tho 100 yds. Swifts Club championship with Misses Hma Murre.l and Olivo Arthur, besides competing in the handicap events. A handsome silver cup, presented by Mr. J. F. Atkins, will bo swum for at the carnival. A series of races to decic'.s tho schoolgirls provincial championship are to be conducted bv the branch under authority of the Wellington Centre of the N.Z.A.S.A. SMITH CUP. Tin , annual conference of tho Swimming Association delegates, hi-ld this inorniu?, decided to recommend tho council to establish a New Zealand diving championship, including running:, standing, springboni'd. and high dives. It was agreed to uijjn the council to secure representation on the Australasian Council. A recomniendation was adopted to exclude from amateur swimming parsons who took part in professional foot hall. Regarding (lie payment of dramllinp expenses, tho delegates recommended the council to facilitate the interchange of swimmers as far as possible.
