WRECKAGE SIGHTED.

SUPPOSED REMAINS OF THE WHANGAROA. Bj Telcerapfc— Press Association—Copyrish' (Reo February 22, 0.35 a.m.) Sydney, February 21. The steamer Atua, from Fiji, reports having sighted a quantity of wreckage on the Middleton Keef, consisting of the stern portion of what appeared to be u scow, with the wheel still standing. The Atua steamed close in, but there wero no signs of life. It is considered probable that the wreckage belonged., to the scow Whnngaroa, which was abandoned last year off Lord Howo Island.
