RAILAGE OF DAIRY PRODUCE
Mr. W. C. Buchanan notified in Parliament yesterday that he would ask the Minister for Railways to make the necessary representations to his Department to secure dairy produce from the serious damage to which it is now subjected bv exposure to the weather.
Mr. C. Cummins Cherrv, veterinary officer for the Commonwealth in London, has been appointed meat expert for Australia. His duties will be to examine meat cargoes and furnish special reports on any lines that are condemned, and advise as to ways and means of obviatin" the same. ; °
