CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL.

TABLET INSCRIPTION,

The Hospital Board decided yesterday that the inscription on tho tablet to bo erected in tho Children's Hospital be as follows:—

King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for Children, Opened by His. Excellency the Governor, Lord Islington, 13th March, 1912. The funds for the erection and equipment were most generously subscribed as a memorial to the late King Edward VII by the citizens of Wellington and District, m response to an appeal by tho Mayoress, Mrs. T. M. Wilford, and were subsidised by the Government.

It was further decided that the west w ?,, ° f the Children's Hospital bo nam<=d lhe Wilford Ward," the east ward bo named "The Hugh Ward" ward, and the upstairs wards be respectively named riio Islington Ward" (subject to his Excellency s concurrence), and "The Macarthy Ward" (subject to the concurrence of Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Macarthy).
